Tonight on Lost:
November 1st 2006 18:03
This post puts together all the previews I've seen for "Cost of Living" and is my guess at where things will go tonight. I won't include the big major spoiler from the 30 Oct 2006 podcast that I wish I didn't know. Grrrr. Nevertheless, here's the spoiler tag:
*** Spoiler ***
Damon and Carlton said it was a Mr. Eko backstory in the Lost official podcast this week. So, Eko will wake up and find himself in Jack's tent. He won't be blind (also from the podcast).
TiVo says: Castaways go to the Pearl station to find a computer.
Well, we guessed that from the preview that showed right after "Every Man for Himself". It looks like Eko, Locke, Desmond, and Nikki on the previews. Paulo is supposed to play a more active role in tonight's episode as well.
Rodrigo Santoro (who plays Paulo) is an accomplished actor with a long list of credits to his name (IMdb). Most are Brazilian and therefore in Portuguese, but many are in English. I wonder if Paulo will have a connection to the two Portuguese scientists at the end of last season--the ones who were monitoring for the electromagnetic anomaly and who called Penny, Desmond's true love, to let her know about it.
Anyway, once they get to the Pearl station, they manage to turn on the monitors and a man with a patch on his right eye appears and adjusts the camera. Is he at the Flame station? Or somewhere else entirely? Is he with Ben's group of hostiles? Probably not. I suspect he's a lonely hatch monkey who doesn't know what's going on any more than Desmond did.
Meanwhile, back at the Hydra station on Hydra Isle, Jack will discuss the tumorous x-rays with the Others. The previews make it look like Ben has the tumor. Sawyer has an enemy with Danny, since, y'know, Sawyer wasn't the one who killed Colleen, and, um, that makes him the obvious target for revenge... These Others don't make any sense.
I can't wait for tonight.
