Lost Fanatic - concerning everything about Lost, the ABC tv drama

Do Rose and Bernard Work for Dharma?

November 28th 2006 04:06
No. But you don't have to believe me. Here's Damon and Carlton saying it very clearly.

However, that does not settle the question of whether or they are connected to the Others. Juliet's answer to Jack in the mini-season seemed to indicate that the Others used to be Dharma, but are not now. So, Rose and Bernard (or just one of them) may be connected to the Others.

But I don't think so. Do you?

Shiri -- When I Dream

November 28th 2006 00:55
Shiri, released in 1999, tells the story of two special agents from opposite sides who fall in love. Yun Jin Kim played a female assassin from North Korea in Shiri, her first feature film. She's acted in several more films since then and is very popular in her native Korea.

This film had an R-rating.

Yun Jin Kim, sometimes spelled Yoon-Jin Kim, plays Sun on Lost.

Lost Seminar

November 26th 2006 04:50
The Lost cast gathered for a few questions from media and fans. In this bit, Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) cautions fans not to buy "authentic" actor autographs on eBay--because they're not.

No spoilers here. This seminar was on 23 Oct 2005 in Hawaii (a little over a year ago).

There's a series of these on YouTube. It looks like sixteen or so three to five minute clips from the same session.

Yun-Jin Kim talks about her career as an actress in Korea.

An interview on Canada's MTV with Elizabeth Mitchell, who plays Juliet on Lost. No spoilers here. It's a little quiet on my computer, but my computer is on its last legs, so that may not mean anything.

Whisper

November 22nd 2006 16:44
According to the New York Times, Whisper, a dark supernatural thriller starring Josh Holloway, involves the kidnapping of a kid with strange powers. Hmmm...not unlike Sawyer being stuck on an island with Walt. Except that this time, Josh will play the kidnapper. I guess he'll find out what the Others went through when they took Walt. Another source said that Josh Holloway had turned down the role of Gambit in the X-Men because he felt there were too many similarities to his Lost character. Interesting that he doesn't mind the similarities in the plotlines.

Whisper will be released in early 2007 and stars Josh Holloway, Sarah Wayne Callies, Blake Woodruff, Joel Edgerton, and John Kapelos. It has not yet been rated, but the description of the plot makes me suspect an R-rating will be forthcoming.

Bride and Prejudice

November 21st 2006 08:35
Naveen Andrews starred in "Bride and Prejudice" (2004), an Indian twist to the Jane Austen novel. In this scene, we get to see Naveen Andrews in a much different look from the sandy, unshaven beach bum/commando Sayid we're used to seeing on Lost.

He sings. He dances. It's quite fun. Check it out

Tribute to Shannon and Boone

November 19th 2006 23:05
Here is a tribute to Shannon and Boone set to music. It has no immediate relevance to the plight of the survivors of flight 815. I just like it. No spoilers in here.

Limericks Needed

November 12th 2006 18:35
This has nothing to do with Lost. It's all about spammers.

I'm one of the editors of Haruah, an online literary magazine, and we maintain a forum for discussion of the fiction, poetry, and anything else our readers want to chat about. Naturally, any place with an open forum attracts the spammers. At first we deleted the obnoxious posts and their posters, but they just kept coming back. So we decided to let our wit shine through

Nathan Fillion on Lost

November 9th 2006 04:00
Nathan Fillion as Kevin on Lost
Nathan Fillion is too cool
Wow! I had a major fangirl moment--and I'm old, so I don't have many of those these days--when Kate opened the door to her hotel room and Mal was standing there. Mal, of course, is actor Nathan Fillion's character on Firefly, one of the best television series ever. On Lost, his name is Kevin and he's a police officer and husband to fugitive Kate, alias Monica.

If I get my Christmas wish, Nathan Fillion will be a regular on Lost. I have no idea how they'll fit him into the storyline--maybe he works for Penelope Widmore, who will soon find the island, and he can land the Firefly-class ship and rescue his one true love, Kate/Monica, who has hooked up with Sawyer/James. Yeah, we need a new love triangle on Lost

What Are You Getting For Christmas?

November 8th 2006 00:45
In case you need some ideas, either for someone you love or for your own Christmas list, Lost action figures will hit stores on Monday. Yep, you heard it. Lost action figures. They're starting out with Jack, Kate, Locke, Charlie, Hurley, and Shannon, but they'll eventually get to all the characters on the show.

Maggie Grace as Shannon Rutherford
Maggie Grace played Shannon Rutherford
Interesting that Shannon is considered one of the more popular characters. She was killed off at the beginning of season two. I liked the character and think the producers should have kept her, but I didn't realize that wasn't a minority opinion

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Moves On

November 5th 2006 23:25
An article at Entertainment Weekly talks about Mr. Eko leaving the show. He is the first regular to ask to leave the show. Boone (Ian Somerhalder), Shannon (Maggie Grace), Ana-Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez), and Libby (Cynthia Watros) were killed off by the producers and writers.

The original story arc for Mr. Eko was supposed to be longer, but Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has had a combination of personal tragedy and triumph since joining the cast of Lost. He is going to produce and act in his own autobiography, which looks to be very interesting. An actor of the caliber of Mr. Akinnuoye-Agbaje will be able to pull that off, no problem.

Eko's Life Video

November 4th 2006 20:45
Just something fun for a weekend viewing. I found this video on YouTube by chemicalr0mance. It's a short summary of Eko's life set to music, not including this last episode, "Cost of Living". It's quite good, I thought.

Have your speakers on
