Lost Fanatic - concerning everything about Lost, the ABC tv drama

The Gospel of John

December 12th 2006 23:22
To feed all those theorists equating Desmond with Jesus or a messiah figure, here is a clip from another film Henry Ian Cusick (the actor who plays Desmond) starred in. The Gospel of John was filmed in 2003 as part of a three-volume Visual Bible series. Acts and Matthew were the other two.

Henry Ian Cusick plays Jesus and is familiar to Lost viewers with his beard, long hair, and robes (or tie-dyed shirt, as the case may be).

Perhaps the theorists are right. Maybe Cuse and Lindelof saw this movie and thought, "Perfect! There's our messiah figure!"

More Backstory Information

December 12th 2006 03:23
I don't spend much time on Ask Ausiello, mainly because I did in the first season of Lost and he was wrong (about what? I don't remember.) So here I am repeating what he is saying.

In his column of 22 Nov 2006, he had some information on an upcoming backstory.

*** Spoiler ***

Cheech Marin
Cheech Marin
For the episode of Lost showing on 28 February 2007, Cheech Marin will appear in the backstory as Hurley's father. Yay! Cheech Marin!

Upcoming Backstories

December 11th 2006 09:30
Everything Michael Ausiello says is a spoiler, and this post is composed entirely of two pieces of information from him. Keep in mind that spoilers, even from Ask Ausiello, are often misleading. Sometimes they are even wrong. Nevertheless, here it is:

*** Spoiler ***

According to Ask Ausiello, the backstory for episode eleven will center around Sayid; for twelve, Claire. He also talks about Lost's new time slot.

Lost Changes to New Time Slot

December 6th 2006 17:06
In February, when Lost comes back from hiatus, it will change to a new time slot. It's going to be shown an hour later. That's probably a good thing, since it means younger kids will be in bed. ABC has a set of new comedies they want to air during the current Lost hour, perhaps hoping to scoop up some of Lost's 17 million viewers.

The source has a few semi-spoilers in it, so be careful if you click

Yun Jin Kim on Lost
Sun
This morning's Honolulu Advertiser has an interview with Yun Jin Kim (plays Sun on Lost). She talks about Lost, her acting career in Korea, and the Honolulu Marathon. There's a mini-spoiler in the question and answer immediately following the one about Sun's "baby-daddy". (I hate that word! Use an apostrophe-s for possession!) Just hold your thumb over it and read on. The rest of the article is interesting.

Michael Emerson, Nice Guy

November 29th 2006 00:33
Michael Emerson as Ben
Benjamin Linus
Nice guy Michael Emerson--Benjamin Linus on Lost--was interviewed in the Honolulu Star Bulletin. He speaks mostly of the differences between stage acting and television. His time on the stage taught him that television stars get the best roles, so he decided to make his mark on television in order to be obtain one of those coveted onstage Shakespeare roles.

For the most spoiler-allergic Lost fans, the article is a bit spoilerish. In my opinion, it's nothing you haven't guessed already.
