Lost Podcast: The Glass Ballerina
October 22nd 2006 00:16
I found a podcast on the ABC site dated 09 Oct 2006 and I just had to know what they said, even though I've seen "The Glass Ballerina". I have yet to watch their video podcast, but I might go back and do that during the hiatus.
Juliet
The first part of the podcast was a talk with Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet). She was Mrs. Claus in the The Santa Clause 2 (and I just checked the Internet Movie Database and she is going to be in the The Santa Clause 3 this Christmas). No wonder she looked so familiar to me. She says Juliet has been her most challenging role because of so many layers in the characters and the plot. The scene when the water rushed into Jack's cell was scary, but also fun because the water really was rushing around her and washing her away. She is also a fan of the show.
A Tale of Two Cities and The Glass Ballerina
Damon and Carlton then came on to talk about "A Tale of Two Cities". The first five minutes of the episode gave us a glimpse of the Others' lives pre-flight 815. Carl is a real prisoner, although he is an Other. He is not a plant. The reasons for his predicament will be revealed later. They said a few other things about "The Glass Ballerina", like we will find out that Sun had an affair, but that is old news.
Fan Questions
They moved on to the third section of their podcast which was fan questions.
Ms. Klugh will be back. Not all the Others are in the Hydra station.
Someone asked if the Others were Canadian. Ethan was Canadian. They joked about the Others entering the island through a portal in Canada. The rest of the bad Others come from Tallahassee.
There will be a discussion in Entertainment Weekly between Stephen King, Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse, and JJ Abrams.
The Asian police officer who lets Jack out of the jail cell is not the same as the Asian man at the book club in the beginning.
The Talking Heads CD case is not of consequence. The actress picked up the wrong CD case.
What's the cross you had in your past? We had a cross that took place fifteen, seventeen, eighteen years ago.
Why does the city of Tallahassee hate you? We don't know.
What happened in Damon's bar-mitzvah? The sheer fact that it occurred.
Does Carlton own a tomato farm? Damon hates tomatoes and Carlton loves tomatoes.
And that's the podcast. It's nice to know that Carl is definitely not a plant and that we will find out why he was imprisoned. I'm curious, since Alex Rousseau seemed so interested in him.
