The third Sneak Peek for Lost was shown during Day Break. These sneak peeks are really focusing on Desmond. This is a good one. Of course, it's spoilerish for those who don't watch previews.

I like it. I like it a lot.

Sky One interviewed several of the cast members of Lost in this clip: Matthew Fox, Elizabeth Mitchell, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Yun Jin Kim, Emilie de Ravin, and Michael Emerson.

It looks like DarkUFO submitted this video to YouTube. DarkUFO runs an interesting Lost blog

Michael Emerson, Nice Guy

November 29th 2006 00:33
Michael Emerson as Ben
Benjamin Linus
Nice guy Michael Emerson--Benjamin Linus on Lost--was interviewed in the Honolulu Star Bulletin. He speaks mostly of the differences between stage acting and television. His time on the stage taught him that television stars get the best roles, so he decided to make his mark on television in order to be obtain one of those coveted onstage Shakespeare roles.

For the most spoiler-allergic Lost fans, the article is a bit spoilerish. In my opinion, it's nothing you haven't guessed already.

Shiri -- When I Dream

November 28th 2006 00:55
Shiri, released in 1999, tells the story of two special agents from opposite sides who fall in love. Yun Jin Kim played a female assassin from North Korea in Shiri, her first feature film. She's acted in several more films since then and is very popular in her native Korea.

This film had an R-rating

Whisper

November 22nd 2006 16:44
According to the New York Times, Whisper, a dark supernatural thriller starring Josh Holloway, involves the kidnapping of a kid with strange powers. Hmmm...not unlike Sawyer being stuck on an island with Walt. Except that this time, Josh will play the kidnapper. I guess he'll find out what the Others went through when they took Walt. Another source said that Josh Holloway had turned down the role of Gambit in the X-Men because he felt there were too many similarities to his Lost character. Interesting that he doesn't mind the similarities in the plotlines.

Whisper will be released in early 2007 and stars Josh Holloway, Sarah Wayne Callies, Blake Woodruff, Joel Edgerton, and John Kapelos. It has not yet been rated, but the description of the plot makes me suspect an R-rating will be forthcoming.

Bride and Prejudice

November 21st 2006 08:35
Naveen Andrews starred in "Bride and Prejudice" (2004), an Indian twist to the Jane Austen novel. In this scene, we get to see Naveen Andrews in a much different look from the sandy, unshaven beach bum/commando Sayid we're used to seeing on Lost.

He sings. He dances. It's quite fun. Check it out

This has nothing to do with Lost. It's all about spammers.

I'm one of the editors of Haruah, an online literary magazine, and we maintain a forum for discussion of the fiction, poetry, and anything else our readers want to chat about. Naturally, any place with an open forum attracts the spammers. At first we deleted the obnoxious posts and their posters, but they just kept coming back. So we decided to let our wit shine through

This post might ought to be called "Interesting Details" rather than "Easter Eggs". The numbers didn't make an appearance and there were few references to previous episodes.

Kate's hotel room. She is staying in room 752 at the beginning of the episode. That's not one of the numbers in any way

I Do

Kate Room 752
Kate is staying in room 752
Nathan Fillion as Kevin
Officer Kevin
Backstory. The episode opens looking at the back of a woman's dark hair. An elevator door in front of her opens and she steps out into a hall in a hotel. She stops at hotel room 752. "Slowly", sung by Ann-Margret, is playing. She's carrying a red shopping bag with a black box poking out the top. She glances behind her shoulder as she opens the door and we realize it's Kate. She sets the box on the bed and opens it. A wedding veil. She looks uncertain, but she is interrupted by a knock on the door. An authoritative voice tells her it the police and there's a dangerous person in the hotel. She says she's fine, she's alone. He says the criminal could be holding her at gunpoint, making her say that and she has three seconds before he breaks down the door. Kate opens the door and it's a Miami Dade police officer. He says, "You wanna get it on?" They go in the room and the scene changes.

Kate's cage.
Kate wakes up to the sound of Sawyer throwing rocks at the push button in his cage. It keeps repeating, "Warning." Sawyer seems kind of down. Kate asks him for a fish biscuit and he snarks, "You trying to keep me feeling productive

Nathan Fillion on Lost

November 9th 2006 04:00
Nathan Fillion as Kevin on Lost
Nathan Fillion is too cool
Wow! I had a major fangirl moment--and I'm old, so I don't have many of those these days--when Kate opened the door to her hotel room and Mal was standing there. Mal, of course, is actor Nathan Fillion's character on Firefly, one of the best television series ever. On Lost, his name is Kevin and he's a police officer and husband to fugitive Kate, alias Monica.

If I get my Christmas wish, Nathan Fillion will be a regular on Lost. I have no idea how they'll fit him into the storyline--maybe he works for Penelope Widmore, who will soon find the island, and he can land the Firefly-class ship and rescue his one true love, Kate/Monica, who has hooked up with Sawyer/James. Yeah, we need a new love triangle on Lost

Quick Thoughts on Tonight's Episode

November 8th 2006 22:41
First off, I've heard the backstory is Kate's. The title makes it sound like we'll find out about Kate's marriage that she confessed to Sawyer during "I Never".

Man with the Patch in the Flame Hatch
Patch Man is not Radzinsky
Radzinsky is dead. Yes, Kelvin Inman was a big liar and a TV spook and everyone knows that TV spooks can't tell the truth to save their lives. Gregg Nations, one of the creative team behind Lost, says that Radzinsky is dead, so he is

What Are You Getting For Christmas?

November 8th 2006 00:45
In case you need some ideas, either for someone you love or for your own Christmas list, Lost action figures will hit stores on Monday. Yep, you heard it. Lost action figures. They're starting out with Jack, Kate, Locke, Charlie, Hurley, and Shannon, but they'll eventually get to all the characters on the show.

Maggie Grace as Shannon Rutherford
Maggie Grace played Shannon Rutherford
Interesting that Shannon is considered one of the more popular characters. She was killed off at the beginning of season two. I liked the character and think the producers should have kept her, but I didn't realize that wasn't a minority opinion

Lost Podcast -- 06 Nov 2006

November 7th 2006 04:16
The Lost official podcast of 6 Nov 2006 had Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse talking about "Cost of Living" and "I Do", as well as answering fan questions. No actors were interviewed this week. They'll have one more podcast after "I Do", then nothing until February, when the series returns.

They revealed their clever plan for Paulo and Nikki on the podcast. Those two were introduced so that when the ABC previews said "Someone will die this week" (meaning on "Cost of Living"), the viewers would expect Paulo or Nikki to die. It didn't work for me. I thought Eko would die. It was his episode, after all. That and last week's podcast said somebody "significant" and those two are about as useless as any nameless redshirt

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Moves On

November 5th 2006 23:25
An article at Entertainment Weekly talks about Mr. Eko leaving the show. He is the first regular to ask to leave the show. Boone (Ian Somerhalder), Shannon (Maggie Grace), Ana-Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez), and Libby (Cynthia Watros) were killed off by the producers and writers.

The original story arc for Mr. Eko was supposed to be longer, but Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has had a combination of personal tragedy and triumph since joining the cast of Lost. He is going to produce and act in his own autobiography, which looks to be very interesting. An actor of the caliber of Mr. Akinnuoye-Agbaje will be able to pull that off, no problem.

Why Did the Smoke Monster Kill Eko?

November 3rd 2006 19:10
Yes, why did the smoke monster kill Eko? Of all the murderous, torturing, child-abducting, unrepentant, and generally unlikeable people on that island, why Eko? (And just to clarify here, the characters on the show make for fascinating storytelling, but they are absolutely not people I want to live near, work with, or be related to by blood or marriage, however distantly.)

One of the themes of "Cost of Living" was Eko's resistance to confession or admitting his sins in any way. He stole food as a child, admittedly for a decent reason, but still refused to confess its wrongness. His dream sequence from the second season episode, "23rd Psalm", included him saying he wanted to make confession, but clearly wanting to discuss drug running. In the jungle, he sees a vision of Emeka and his two goons. He has an opportunity to change the outcome of the fight, but again, when Emeka is on his knees pleading for his life, Eko shows no mercy and raises the machete. He is stopped only by the vision of Daniel, the altar boy who asked him if he was a bad man. The end of the episode saw him refuse to ask forgiveness once again

Cost of Living

November 2nd 2006 07:08
Eko on Lost
The backstory revolves around Eko.
Backstory. The episode opens with a young Eko breaking a lock on a storage shed in order to feed his younger brother, Yemi. A sister from the orphanage finds them and takes them to the church to confess. Eko defends his actions by saying Yemi was hungry, but the sister is not interested in his excuses. She says, "You have sinned, Eko. Hunger does not matter. Now go, ask for forgiveness." Eko won't move from the pew. He steps toward the confessional, then turns around to Yemi, who sits frightened in the pew. The sister says sharply, "Confess!" Eko turns to face the confessional, but we don't see him go in.

Beach. Eko is lying unconscious in the tent. Sayid leans over him and asks Hurley how long he has been like this. Hurley says a couple of days. Sayid asks Charlie what happened to him and Charlie answers, "Before or after we saved him from the polar bear cave?" Sayid, Charlie, and Hurley leave the tent and Eko dreams

Tonight on Lost:
